Mental health counselling, often simply referred to as counselling or therapy, is here to help you address and manage emotional, psychological, and behavioural issues or challenges.


The goal of counselling is to promote mental and emotional well-being, improve coping skills, and enhance the overall quality of life for the individuals seeking help. Individuals seek counselling to improve relationships, and achieve a greater sense of mental and emotional balance. Counselling sessions are held in a confidential and non-judgmental setting, where individuals can openly discuss their thoughts, feelings, and concerns without fear of judgment or stigma.


Marisa utilises an integrative approach, drawing on Person-Centred (Rogerian) therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Gestalt Therapy.
